the potential of an everyday object

Having previously wanted to study fashion, this piece was very inspirational due to layering of rubber gloves and the impact it creates. The mass of material make the viewer over look the fact than a 'day to day' item has been re-invented.

This particular image of a piece by Hanna Verlin, reminds me of a large bunch of ear buds. This interests me due to my fasination for the use of 'everyday' objects in sculpture and design.

I think this is such an amazing idea: viewers were invited to add coins to the jars for particular wishes. The growing pile of coins palpably depicted the accumulating wishes. At the end of the exhibition the collected money was donated to Make A Wish Foundation.

I have decided to start a blog to document various artists and pieces which inspire me daily. I intend to post a variety of images that will encourage me to approach my current work with a new concept.
